At Mountain View Acres we strive to produce the best lamb meat possible.  In the summer our sheep are out on grass in a rotational grazing system.  This ensures they always have good green grass in front of them and also minimizes the need for routine deworming (fewer chemicals).  They are offered locally grown whole barley and hay in the winter/spring and have access to deeply bedded shelters.  We feed absolutely no growth hormones or stimulants.  Medications are not routinely used unless the animal's health and welfare is at stake.  If this is the case, all withdraw times are strictly observed, followed and documented.  Fresh water along with salt and a specifically formulated sheep mineral are available at all times.

We use CFIA inspected 'Killarney Meats' as our butcher.  They are located in Killarney, Manitoba.
